After finishing in 9th place in the previous season of "Ligue 1", the club seems to expect much more for the next season and has already started strengthening the team.
As previously announced, the Parisian club acquired Mickael Landreau, the goalkeeper of "Nantes" and the French national team. Now the capital team has announced that the former "Strasbourg" forward, Amara Diane, will represent them next season.
According to reports, the forward signed a three-year contract with "P.S.G." The Paris club had to pay 3.5 million euros for the 23-year-old player from "Strasbourg".
As the player himself claims, he chose "P.S.G." because he hopes to play a lot there and is a big fan of coach Guy Lacombe.
"I chose Paris because I believe I will get to play here. Lacombe is an excellent coach and he was one of the reasons why I chose 'P.S.G.' In the end, only a complete fool could refuse to represent such a club," explained Diane his choice.
"P.S.G." also announced that they are parting ways with Carlos Bueno and Cristiano Rodriguez. Both players were disqualified for an incorrectly executed transfer and were unable to play for half a year, so the club decided to release them.
"They are talented and that cannot be denied," said the "P.S.G." coach. "But they haven't played for half a year and they need time, which we cannot provide. Carlos and Cristian can only progress by spending enough minutes on the field, and I believe their careers will be much more successful elsewhere."
