The left-back of the French champions team, Eric Abidal, admitted that he will announce his future plans only after the World Championship, which starts in June in Germany.
Abidal is currently the only player of "Lyon" who has not yet extended his contract and has been hinting for some time now that he may leave "Lyon" after this season and move to a European giant. The most active interest in the player comes from Madrid's "Real" and London's "Chelsea" teams.
However, the player himself is not in a rush to talk about his future and claims that the final decision will be made only after the French national team finishes competing in the World Championships, where Abidal hopes to push "Chelsea" defender William Gallas out of the starting lineup.
"Lyon" has also announced that they have offered a new, two-year contract to their attacking leader Sylvain Wiltord. The French team is also linked with Niko Kranjčar from "Hajduk", Yohann Gourcuff from "Rennes" and the top scorer of last season's "Ligue 1", Pedro Pauleta from "P.S.G.".
