As reported by the British media on Monday, England's national team and London defender Sol Campbell may soon move to a club in Istanbul.
The newspapers "Daily Mirror" and "Daily Star" reported that "Fenerbahce" offered 8 million pounds to the finalists of this year's UEFA Champions League, and a weekly salary of 70 thousand pounds for the defender for three years.
S.Campbell scored the only goal for "Arsenal" in last week's Champions League final, in which the London club lost 2-1 to "Barcelona", but this season was not great for the 31-year-old defender.
Last summer, he temporarily left the team after the coach decided to replace him during the match against "West Ham". After some time returning to the team, he suffered a shin and toe injuries, and later broke his nose.
The media reported that S.Campbell's agent met with representatives of "Fenerbahce" last week.
