According to reports in the Spanish press, M. Diarra's agent, Fredericas Guerra, agreed with the English club on a ransom of thirty million, contract duration, and only the player's signature was needed after the contract, but M. Diarra broke off negotiations with "Man Utd".
Security then explained to his agent that he would prefer to play for Madrid's "Real" club and that he would not agree to "Man Utd's" offer.
