The most productive player of last season's "Ligue 1" championship, Portuguese Pedro Pauleta, finally dispelled doubts about his future by extending his contract with the club for another year.
Recently, there were rumors that the Portugal national team striker, who scored 21 goals in the French championship, could win his fifth consecutive "Ligue 1" champions title next season, but the player decided to stay at the Parisian club.
Pauleta's contract with "P.S.G" was valid until 2007, and with the new contract signed, the player will remain at the club until the summer of 2008. The Portuguese, who will be participating in the World Cup with his national team, arrived at "P.S.G" in 2003 from another "Ligue 1" club, "Bordeaux."
