Fernando Morientes will no longer be seen wearing the shirts next season. The striker from Spain moved to [unspecified destination] for an undisclosed amount.
The thirty-year-old footballer spent 14 months in England, but only scored 12 goals in 61 matches and was not called up to the Spanish national team preparing for the upcoming World Cup in Germany.
"I spent a year and a half at Liverpool, but I was plagued by injuries and other things, so I never felt right," Morientes said earlier.
Morientes arrived at Liverpool in January last year from Madrid for 9 million euros.
