In the English Premier League yesterday, the rescheduled 32nd round match was played between Portsmouth and Arsenal. It ended in a 1-1 draw.
During the first 20 minutes, Portsmouth looked better. Lomana Lua Lua dangerously struck near the goal, but later Arsenal had several good opportunities - T. Henry's shot caused some problems for Portsmouth's defense. J.A. Reyes also had a decent chance, but his strong shot flew over the goal. However, Portsmouth achieved their goal. In the 31st minute, after a long pass, Y. Ayegbeni beat the Arsenal goalkeeper and put Portsmouth ahead.
At the beginning of the second half, Arsenal began to attack and in the 50th minute J.A. Reyes equalized the score - after a corner kick, defenders cleared the ball and Reyes' shot from outside the penalty area was accurate. Towards the end of the half, the first goal scorer Y. Ayegbeni had several great opportunities, but Arsenal goalkeeper J. Lehmann saved the team.
