Unsuccessfully performed in both European and French competitions last season, the club hopes to compete more successfully next season and is looking for reinforcements.
Earlier, the team made a €3.5 million offer to Valencia to acquire Italian Marco Di Vaio, who spent the second half of the season on loan at a French club. However, the Spanish team rejected Monaco's offer for their striker, demanding no less than €5 million.
Now Monaco has expressed interest in the most productive player of the 2004 European Championship, Czech Milan Baroš. Currently, the 24-year-old forward represents Aston Villa in the English Premier League, but does not rule out the possibility of moving to a stronger club.
This idea seems to not be opposed by Aston Villa's own leaders, but only if any team offers a suitable amount of money for the Czech player.
