In the composition of the England national team for the World Cup, the reserve goalkeeper has changed - the injury of friendly England's second team game against Belarus experienced "Norwich" goalkeeper Robert Green was replaced by Scott Carson of "Liverpool".

26-year-old R. Green, who appeared on the field in the second half of the match, which Belarus won 2-1, played only a few minutes, made a mistake in a free kick and allowed Vitalij Kutuzov to send the ball into the empty net. The goalkeeper could no longer continue the match and after examinations, it was revealed that he had a groin injury, so he will have to undergo surgery and not only miss the World Cup, but possibly even the beginning of the next season.

In his place, 20-year-old Scott Carson, who was in the backup composition of the England national team, ran onto the field in the match against Belarus. He will replace R. Green in the main squad and will be the third goalkeeper after Paul Robinson and David James. Meanwhile, invited to the reserve position is Ben Foster, who belongs to "Man Utd" and is loaned to "Watford" club, who helped his team reach the Premier League this season.
