Glazgo team head coach Martin O'Neill was recognized as the coach of the year in Scotland. The election for the best coach of the year in Scotland is held annually by the Scottish Football Journalists' Association. This year, O'Neill helped his team win the Scottish Premier League (SPL) and led them to the UEFA Cup quarterfinals, where they lost to another team.
The former SPL coach has now won the title for the third time in 4 years working with the Glasgow team.
The Scottish Football Journalists' Association also recognized Celtic defender Jackie McNamara as the best player in Scotland.
