French national team and club forward Djibril Cisse announced that this summer he will most likely return to his homeland and represent one of the three interested clubs - , and .

The 24-year-old footballer, currently training in the national team camp, said: "I was purchased by the former Liverpool coach Gerard Houllier, who now works at Lyon, but I never had the opportunity to work with him.

"Now I am managed by the coach (Rafael Benitez - ed. note), who doesn't want me - I probably don't appeal to him."

It was G. Houllier's initiative that two years ago "Liverpool" acquired the promising defender for £14 million. However, after a few months, the coach was fired, and his place was taken by the Spaniard R. Benitez, who does not always entrust D. Cisse with a place in the starting eleven.

Now the Frenchman is ready to accept even a lower financial offer from a club in his home country: "Financially, I will have to sacrifice a little, but I am prepared for that. My heart leans towards the Marseille team, but Lyon plays in the Champions League and is a more stable club.

"In December, Liverpool did not release me to Marseille. Immediately after that, I received many unpleasant emails from the fans of this team, as they thought it was my fault.

"I just don't think I can withstand another season like this," said the forward who scored 24 goals in 78 matches for Liverpool.
