In the team, Brazilian striker Ailton, who has been playing until the end of this season according to the rental agreement, will no longer continue in the team - the German club has decided not to sign a contract with the player.
At the beginning of this year, Istanbul loaned the 32-year-old Brazilian to the German team with the possibility of later buying him for a sum of 1.75 million euros. However, Hamburg club leaders decided not to take advantage of this exclusive right and parted ways with the player who did not live up to expectations.
"We have discussed this issue a lot, but we have come to the conclusion that our paths should diverge," says HSV sports director Dietmar Beiersdorfer.
This season, Ailton scored only 3 goals in 13 matches, and Hamburg's team failed to secure second place in the Bundesliga at the end of the season.
This is already the second striker leaving the team. In the summer, the team will also see the departure of a Japanese player.
