Young forward Salomon Kalou from Ivory Coast is moving to the London team, with which he has signed a three-year contract.
The London team acquired the young 20-year-old forward from the Rotterdam team for an undisclosed fee, where S. Kalou played for two years. The player has successfully passed the medical examination and agreed on all the details of the contract.
In 67 matches played at the Dutch club, S. Kalou scored 35 goals, adding four more in 7 UEFA Cup matches. In the last Dutch football championship, the forward stood out 20 times and ranked second in the list of top scorers. Last year, the young forward was awarded a prize named after Dutch football legend Johan Cruyff as the best young player.
The player himself admits that he did not expect to join such a famous club so early. "I never dreamed that I would join such a famous club at such an early stage in my career," says S. Kalou. "I am happy and proud to be able to tell my children and grandchildren that I played for teams like Chelsea and Feyenoord."
