London team and Spain national team defender Asier Del Horno will have to miss the upcoming World Cup in Germany due to injury.
The left-back suffered an Achilles tendon injury during a national team training session last week. After undergoing comprehensive tests today in Valencia, it has been revealed that the injury is serious and the player will not have enough time to recover before the World Cup.
According to some sources, instead of A. Del Horno, the national team coaches will call up team defender or Joan Capdevila to the team.
