"Betis" coach resigned © EuroFootball.com

The head coach of the team, Llorenсas Serra Ferreras, who has been leading the Sevilla club for the past two seasons, has resigned from his duties.

This was already the second time L.S.Ferrera was in the head coach position at the club. Last season, the coach won the Spanish "Copa del Rey" with the club and secured a spot in the UEFA Champions League, but due to numerous injuries to key players and a tight match schedule in the past season, the team completely failed to repeat their previous results.

This season, "Betis" has never been among the top 10 teams in the Spanish league, and for the most part of the season, the team had to fight to stay in the league, securing a spot in the top division only in the last home match.

Due to the unsuccessful season, the president of the team, Manuel Ruiz de Lopera, is planning to leave the team at the end of June.
