Australia's national football team captain Mark Viduka spoke about stepping down from the team after the World Cup taking place in Germany.

The 30-year-old footballer told the Australian newspaper "The Sunday Age": "I am raising one child, my wife is expecting another. I miss my family very much when I play abroad."

"I am thinking about my future in the national team, the results in the World Cup will be very important to me," continued Viduka. "European players can travel by plane for 3-4 hours, while I have to travel to a completely different part of the world."

Viduka scored 32 goals playing for the Australian national football team.
