Recently, the official records of the German Football Federation announced that the attendance records of the Bundesliga matches in this country surpassed all expectations and once again confirmed the country's championship as the most watched in Europe.

Compared to the previous season, on average 8.5 percent more spectators - 38,191 - attended one game in the 2005/06 Bundesliga championship.

The most spectators - an average of 72,627 - chose to attend matches of the Dortmund team. In second place were the country champions Munich (67,588), and in third place - (61,244).

For comparison - in Lithuania, on average, nearly 1000 spectators attend matches, and the officially recorded attendance record belongs to Siauliai - the match between "Siauliai" and "Kaunas" was attended by 2300 spectators.

The head of the German Football Federation, Christian Seifert, is very pleased with the new results.

"These numbers show that more and more people are enthusiastically interested in the country's championships, and the investments in new modern stadiums were worth it."
