London goalkeeper Jens Lehmann still intends to play for the German national team after the World Cup.
The 36-year-old footballer will represent his country for the first time as the main goalkeeper - not long ago, his place was occupied by Munich team captain Oliver Kahn.
When asked if the national team will remain in his plans, the player replied: "Yes, because I love football."
"It gives me a lot of pleasure. I am healthy, as if I were 26 years old, and I am much better prepared than when I was 30," the footballer said.
Lehmann also emphasized the similarities between the coaches of Arsenal and the German national team.
"Both have a similar philosophy: fast, open, attacking style," said J. Lehmann.
"Klinsmann follows a similar strategy, he acted very wisely and chose the right people, also took care of our physical condition. Training with Arsenal and with the national team is very similar."
When asked about returning to his homeland, the goalkeeper also revealed that he is not thinking about it at the moment.
"Definitely not next season. We have a new stadium and we will have a very good team," the player replied.
