As we previously announced here, the five-time French champion club has attracted former midfielder Kim Kallstrom to their team. On Monday, the player officially signed a four-year contract with the club.
The 23-year-old Swedish national team midfielder sacrificed some of his preparation time for the World Cup in order to come to France and sign the official contract. However, considering that "Lyon" already has a player like Juninho in the midfield, Kallstrom may have to settle for a backup role next season.
"We have acquired another excellent player who can play on the left side. He is definitely a great addition," - said "Lyon" coach Gerard Houllier about the new acquisition.
"Lyon" also revealed a list of players they would like to see in their team next season, including names such as the new French talent Franck Ribery, "Liverpool" striker Djibril Cisse who has been talking about returning to France for some time, and "Nantes" team leader Jeremy Toulalan.
