This year's World Championship organizers announced that stars such as Pele, Diego Maradona, and over one hundred seventy football players who became world champions will participate in the opening ceremony.
Brazil's Pele, widely regarded as one of the best football players of all time, will enter the futuristic Munich stadium with German supermodel Claudia Schiffer, carrying the World Championship trophy.
The ceremony will take place right before the opening match between the host country Germany and the Costa Rica national teams.
To create a special atmosphere, FIFA president Sepp Blatter invited all players who won the World Championship since its beginning in 1930.
The organizers also hinted that all twenty-two players from the 1974 World Championship final, in which Germany's eleven defeated the Netherlands 2-1, will be introduced during the ceremony.
