After a short break due to international friendly matches, the fights in the Lithuanian championships continued on Tuesday. The 12th round of matches in the "A league" was very unsuccessful for the hosts - no team playing at home managed to win and three of them suffered defeats despite all clubs scoring at least one goal.

The most intense match of the day took place in Vilnius, where the capital's derby between "Žalgiris" and "Vilnius" took place once again. The first half of the match ended peacefully, but the second half unfolded nervously and in the 80th minute the visitors' defense was finally breached by "Vilnius" Brazilian player Muller. However, Žalgiris fought until the end and in the final minute Igoris Morinas equalized the score, but the match ended in tension as "Vilnius" goalkeeper Maciej Kijewski received a red card.

The match in Marijampolė saw the local team "Sūduva" unable to resist against another contender for the championship title, Panevėžys' "Ekranas". The visitors took the lead in the 15th minute when Mantas Samusiovas scored an own goal, and although Karolis Jasaitis managed to equalize after the break, Arūnas Klimavičius, Egidijus Varnas, and Povilas Lukšys scored one after another within 11 minutes and "Ekranas" secured a convincing victory.

The city of Klaipėda "Atlantas" is showing signs of recovery - in the match of seaside clubs, the team defeated "Šilutė" this time. The winners were scored by legionnaires Jevgenijus Poliakovas and Maksimas Morozovas, while the consolation goal for the absolute league underdog "Šilutė" was scored by Mindaugas Grigalevičius.

Following this victory, "Atlantas" shares 3-4 places with Vilnius' "Vėtra", which in the later matches of the day at home failed to beat the "Šiauliai" team. "Vėtra" took the lead after 31 minutes with Aidas Preikšaitis converting a penalty, but luck was not on the defenders' side in this round and in the middle of the second half Nerijus Sasnauskas scored an own goal, resulting in the match ending in a draw.
