The most productive player this season Jim Hasselbaink has announced that he will leave his current club after the end of the English championship. The 31-year-old Dutchman expressed dissatisfaction throughout the season because he was not guaranteed a permanent place in the main lineup of the "Blues".
"None of the "Chelsea" players know who Ranieri will send onto the field in the upcoming matches", Hasselbaink told the Dutch newspaper "Algemeen Dagblad". "It's a real surprise for everyone. We only find out who will play two hours before the match. Until then, we know as much as the fans. I'm not afraid of competition, but I only accept fair competition. And here, we can't even think about that. If I play well and get into the right rhythm, it doesn't mean I'll be in the lineup."
There is a high probability that Hasselbaink will continue his career at the club. The head coach of the "Celts" Martin O'Neill has expressed interest in the Dutch striker. The Scottish club's main strategist sees him as a good replacement for long-time club leader Henrik Larsson, who is planning to leave the club. Hasselbaink will likely be accompanied by another Dutchman from "Chelsea" - right-back Mario Melchiot.
