The scandalous club security guard Lee Bowyer will continue his career in London - the footballer was bought by the team for an undisclosed sum.

The 29-year-old Englishman has already worn the "West Ham" shirt once - in 2003, before moving to "Newcastle", L. Bowyer spent half a year in the team.

"I will do my utmost to help my new team," - said L. Bowyer. - "I haven't played well lately, I have experienced a serious ankle injury, but I want to show the "West Ham" fans what I am really capable of."

The team's coach Alan Perdew was pleased with the new signing: "L. Bowyer agreed to play for a lower salary than before, which says a lot. My scouts said he was the best player for "Newcastle" in the last three months. He is one of the most talented guards in the country, but has not won anything yet. I hope L. Bowyer will try to change that."

The player's biography is marked with various scandals - in 2000 the Englishman was accused of assaulting a student, and last April he unexpectedly got into a fight in the middle of the field with his teammate Kieron Dyer.
