Swiss national team striker Marco Streller was allowed by doctors to continue training with the team and prepare for the first World Cup matches. M. Streller twisted his knee during training on Saturday, when he collided with his teammate David Degen. A tomography scan on Saturday did not show any signs of serious injury. "A few bruises and minor ligament strain were visible, but no serious consequences," team doctor Cuno Wetzelis said. "He might feel some pain, but he can certainly train with the team." M. Streller could not play in the 2004 European Championship as he broke his foot during training. Switzerland will play their first World Cup match against former World champions France on Tuesday.
