One of the leaders of the Sweden national team's offense, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, says he may have to miss the final B group match against England on Tuesday due to injury.
The 24-year-old footballer strained his groin during the warm-up before yesterday's match with Paraguay, but played through the pain for the entire first half. However, the coach did not successfully replace the struggling forward in the second half of the match.
"I strained my groin a bit during the warm-up, but the pain increased as time went on, so I had to sit on the bench," said Z. Ibrahimovic. "I don't know if I will play against the English. I'll wait to see what the doctors say."
The national team's coach, Lars Lagerback, spoke similarly: "It is unclear how serious this injury is. It should become clear in the next few days."
Meanwhile, the team doctor Anders Valentino's prognosis was conflicting - according to him, the treatment of such an injury could take from a day to two weeks.
