Persecuted by injuries, the attacker Djibril Cisse seems to be returning to play in his native France next season - the footballer was agreed to be leased out by the club.
The Frenchman's contract with the English team is valid until 2009, but "Liverpool" has been openly showing their desire to sell D. Cisse for some time. However, this option seemed not very realistic after the player, preparing for the World Cup in Germany, broke his leg in a friendly match against China and was dropped from the squad for at least four months.
Nevertheless, the French press reports that both teams have already reached an agreement and D. Cisse will first be leased out for one season, and then, if the player's performance satisfies the club's coaches and leaders, he will likely be able to move to Marseille for a longer period.
The 24-year-old striker who scored 18 goals last season agreed to wear the "Marseille" jersey for a much lower salary than he receives at Liverpool.
