Italian national team coach Marcello Lippi confirmed that Juventus club defender is returning to the lineup and will participate in the Group E match against the USA national team.
Having experienced a thigh injury, G.Zambrotta missed two friendly matches and Monday's first World Cup match of the Italian national team against Ghana, which his team won 2-0. This week, the player has already returned to normal training regime and according to reports looks great.
"Zambrotta returns fully recovered and ready to play at full strength," said head coach Marcello Lippi to the news agency on Friday.
Italy will face the USA team on Saturday evening, and on June 22 will play the final group match against debutant Czech Republic team.
