36th round review of La Liga © EuroFootball.com

This weekend, the 36th round of the Spanish Championship ("La Liga") will be played. With only three rounds left until the end of the championship, every point won now is of special importance to almost every team. Eurofootbal.lt presents the reviews of this round's matches.

Saturday

Starting at: 21:00 Lithuanian time

The situations of these two teams are as different as day and night - "Celta" theoretically still tries to fight for survival in the league, but it seems that only a miracle can save them, while "Barcelona" hopes to surpass its fiercest opponents - the "Real" players - and finish in second place on the table. "Celta," with the worst home game results, will not be able to count on Eduardo Berizzo and Angel, and Barcelona will have to manage without defender Carles Puyol.

Starting at: 23:00 Lithuanian time

After two consecutive defeats, "Real" understands that losing this match would allow "Valencia" to secure the champion's title before the end of the championship. However, in this match against the Balearic Islands team, they will be clear favorites, especially since "Mallorca" was shaken in the middle of the week by the news that Fernando Correa's doping test was positive.

Zinedine Zidane will not be seen in "Real's" ranks, as he received two yellow cards in the last round match against "Deportivo" and was forced to leave the field. In a press conference held after the match, the Frenchman said that this year he is playing the worst he has in the last five years.

Sunday

Starting at: 18:30 Lithuanian time

After an impressive victory in the last round against "Zaragoza," "Albacete" almost secured their place in the top league, but they would need one or more points to feel completely relaxed. Meanwhile, "Athletic" has very good positions to secure a place in next year's UEFA Cup, despite losing 2-0 to Seville last week.
