The French club is already finalizing a contract with the team's forward Daniel Moreira. On Monday morning, the 28-year-old forward underwent a medical examination and should soon sign a contract with the "Rennes" club.
It is reported that the management of "Rennes", who finished 7th in the "Ligue 1" championship last season, offered about 3.5 million euros for D. Moreira, who represented the "Toulouse" team for the last two seasons and was one of the team's leaders.
The forward is most likely to sign a four-year contract and will form a forward tandem with John Utaka in the club next season.
It is believed that besides D. Moreira, "Rennes" would like to add another French player to the team, former "Toulouse" and "Inter" defender Stephan Dalmat.
