Former Premier League striker Alan Smith, who has recently left England, mentioned a possible move to Spain, where the league leaders are interested in him.
"I would like to play in one of the best European leagues," the 23-year-old England international told The Sun. "I am ready to play abroad. On Saturday and Sunday evenings, I often watch Spanish league matches and have often dreamed about the possibility of playing there.
I would also not refuse to play in Italy. I would really like to test myself against the best defenders in the world."
"Now I have to leave Leeds. It's time to make the necessary decisions, and one of them would be playing abroad," Smith continued. "I am young and unmarried, so no one considers me tied to England. Besides, I have always been fascinated by other cultures."
Speaking about the Valencia team, the Englishman said: "A few years ago, I had to play against them and I will never forget that feeling."
"I am very sorry for what happened to Leeds, but now I am looking forward," the optimistic blond striker concluded.
