Vilnius team "Vėtra" on Thursday flies to Ireland, where on June 24 they will play the second leg of the UEFA Intertoto first round match against "Shelbourne" club.

Unfortunately, in the second leg match, "Vėtra" will have to deal without seven players. The main goalkeeper of "Vėtra", Vaidas Žutautas, still cannot play due to illness. Three main defenders – Algis Jankauskas, Žilvinas Žudys, and Nerijus Sasnauskas, as well as the midfielders – Dejan Milošeskis and Bobis Božinovskis, got sick before the match and will not be able to play. It is suspected that the players may have been poisoned.

Also, due to personal reasons, forward Germanas Lovčevas will not travel to Ireland.

This means that the capital team will have to try to retaliate against their opponents in Dublin and avoid elimination from the tournament with only 16 players and just four defenders, three of whom have hardly played in the main team this season.

Around 30 "Vėtra" fans also traveled to Ireland to support the team during this difficult time. It is hoped that a significant number of Lithuanians living in Ireland will also come to the "Tolka Park" stadium in Dublin to support the Vilnius team.
