The captain of the German national team and now a member of London's "Chelsea" club, Michael Ballack, missed the team's training session on Sunday due to a foot injury sustained after Saturday's match against Sweden.

"He suffered a minor foot injury, which we are currently evaluating," said former German national team striker, now team manager Oliver Bierhoff.

Fortunately, all the hosts of the World Cup, the German national team players, are healthy and ready to play in the quarterfinal match against Argentina, which will take place on Friday, June 30th, in Berlin.

Additionally, O. Bierhoff denied rumors that the team's head coach, Jurgen Klinsmann, will resign and become the coach of the USA team.

Many are urging current USA coach Bruce Arena to step down after his team lost a crucial match in Group E to Ghana with a score of 2-1, and therefore had to exit the further competition.

"No matter how much we respect Americans, we cannot compare the US Soccer Federation with us. We have not yet discussed his future. He is now in the spotlight after a great performance in the match against Sweden, and now we are facing Argentina," said O. Bierhoff.

O. Bierhoff also stated that personally he would like to see J. Klinsmann continue at the helm of the German national team.
