The midfielder of the Ukrainian championship team Simferopol "Tavria" club announces that they have signed a contract with 27-year-old Lithuanian footballer Darius Žutautas. This season, the defender started playing for Klaipėda's "Atlantas" team, and last year he played for Vladikavkaz "Alania" club.
"Darius went for a trial at the "Tavria" team earlier than we had agreed. One could say he left almost arbitrarily. Darius was supposed to go for the trial after July 1st. The behavior of the football player surprised both me and the head coach of "Atlantas" Sergei Savchenko unpleasantly. We will have a conversation with him," said the president of "Atlantas" club Vacys Lekevičius to alyga.lt website on Tuesday.
The "Tavria" team is becoming more and more Lithuanian. Three Lithuanian footballers have already signed contracts with this Ukrainian club. Defender Andrius Jokšas from Vilnius "Žalgiris" has arrived in Simferopol, defender Audrius Veikutis from Marijampolė "Sūduva", and forward Nerijus Vasiliauskas from Vilnius "Vėtra".
Recently, a 26-year-old defender from FBK "Kaunas" team also arrived for a trial with the "Tavria" team, who played a friendly match against Tomsk "Tom" team from Austria where the game ended in a draw, and the Lithuanian player played until the 55th minute when he got injured and asked to be replaced.
