A.Frey moves to "Borussia" © EuroFootball.com

Swiss national team forward A. Frei decided to leave France and signed a four-year contract with Dortmund, which, it is believed, will pay around 4 million euros for the player.

The German club has been chasing the Swiss for half a year, and after reaching an agreement with Rennes, the player will finally move to play in the Bundesliga. Together with Czech players Tomas Rosicky and Jan Koller, the new attacking force of the Dortmund team will be formed by A. Frei and will be supplemented by Paraguayan Nelson Haedo-Valdez from Bremen's Werder team.

Former "Servette" forward A. Frei played 100 matches in the French championship for Rennes and scored 46 goals. In the Swiss national team, he was equally productive - scoring 27 times in 49 matches, including two goals in the World Cup taking place in Germany.

In Dortmund, A. Frei will follow in the footsteps of one of the greatest Swiss players of all time, Stephane Chapuisat, while in the Rennes team, he will be replaced by Daniel Moreira. Both Borussia and Rennes will not participate in European tournaments in the 2006/07 season.
