Recently appointed Scottish club coach, Lithuanian Valdas Ivanauskas, confirmed that his club is seeking to acquire South Korean national team forward Ahn Jung Hwan.
The player's agent claims that "Hearts" have already agreed on a transfer fee of £500,000 with the current footballer's club.
In this World Cup in Germany, the forward scored his only goal against the Togo team - the match ended with a 2-1 victory for the Koreans. Later, in the remaining three matches, the footballer only appeared on the field after being substituted.
V. Ivanauskas, who became the permanent team coach last Friday, now aims to further strengthen the team for the upcoming season.
"I contacted the team owner Vladimir Romanov and we discussed which positions need to be filled, so I hope to see new faces here next week," said the coach from Lithuania.
"He is a good player and a realistic candidate to become the new team forward, but we are also interested in three other players."
"The club is prepared to pay €750,000. Negotiations are still ongoing, but we want to resolve everything as quickly as possible," said the player's representative, Tomas Sanders.
