The coach of the Portuguese national team, Brazilian Luiz Felipe Scolari, after the match for third place in the World Cup lost to Germany, said he was satisfied with the team's performance.
Portugal finished fourth in the tournament, losing in the final match 3-1 to the host team.
"I am satisfied with the overall performance," said the Brazilian. "In the end, although we finished with a loss, we are one of the four strongest national teams in the world."
"Germany played very well and was more effective than us," said the coach.
"We lacked efficiency in the final third of attacks," continued the strategist. "We also lacked precision in shooting. We had several opportunities, but we were not able to exploit them as Germany did."
