The special FIFA commission decided that the FIFA Fair Play Award will be shared by the national teams of Spain and Brazil, who have collected 886 points out of 1000 possible.

The FIFA Fair Play Award is given to teams that demonstrate fair play on and off the field, respect their opponents, and improve the reputation of football. Points are calculated according to a specially devised criteria system.

When calculating points, every match of the World Cup is evaluated, but only teams that have reached the quarter-finals can win the award.

Both teams will receive a check worth 50 thousand US dollars to purchase sports equipment - this prize will be allocated for the development of football.

When calculating points, the only criterion for deduction of points is the number of cards received by the team's players. Meanwhile, points are "collected" by assessing "Positive play" (points are given to teams that play an attractive attacking game), respect towards referees, respect towards opponents, behavior of the technical staff and fans.
