When the opportunity to register players again arose, six players from Ukraine and Belarus were invited for a trial.

Three Ukrainians arrived in Šiauliai: 24-year-old attacking midfielder Dmytro Boyko from "Stal" Dneprodzerzhinsk, 28-year-old forward and attacking midfielder Yakiv Kripak from "Spartak" Sumy, and 25-year-old goalkeeper Roman Gurin from "Gorniak" Kryvyi Rih.

In the 2005-2006 season, Y. Kripak scored only two goals in the second-tier Ukrainian league (one from the penalty spot) and "Spartak" was relegated to a lower league. However, the team's top scorer managed to score only 5 goals. Nevertheless, this forward was more productive in 2004 when he played in the top Belarusian league and scored 11 goals.

Y. Kripak has played for Vitebsk "Lokomotiv" (Belarus), "Dnipro", "Olexandriya", Donetsk "Metalurg", Donetsk "Shakhtar", Kyiv "CSKA" and Zaporizhia "Metalurg" (all from Ukraine) during his career.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Roman Gurin has previously played in the third-tier Ukrainian league for Ternopil "Nyva", where he was a key player in 2003 and 2004.

Three players from the Belarusian league leaders Ždanovičių "Darida" arrived for a trial in "Šiauliai": 29-year-old defender Andrej Milevskiy, 23-year-old forward Vasilij Monakov and 27-year-old defender Dmitrij Kabelskij.

V. Milevskiy can play as a central midfielder, defensive midfielder, left back, or center back. He started his career at Soligorsk "Shakhtior" and moved to Minsk "Dinamo" in 2002, where he did not establish himself and was subsequently loaned to Minsk "Darida" and Baku "Inter" in Azerbaijan.

D. Kabelskij, playing as a center back or full-back, started his career at "Molodechno", from where he was loaned to Minsk "Torpedo" in 2002 and moved to Babruisk "Belshina" in 2003. It is likely this player could take up the position of right back in the "Šiauliai" team, currently occupied by Nigerian Amaro Atigbiolaye, who played in central midfield as a defensive or attacking midfielder last season and at the start of this season.

It is worth mentioning that "Darida" is coached by Lithuanian specialist Liudas Rumbutis.

Which of these foreign players will stay in the team and go to the training camp in Anykščiai will be revealed in the coming days.
