As reported by the Portuguese news agency "Lusa", the coach of the Portuguese national team, Brazilian Luis Felipe Scolari, said on Sunday that he would like to continue working at the helm of the Portuguese national team.
Portugal participated in this year's World Championships and finished in 4th place after losing to the hosts Germany with a score of 1-3.
"Yes, I would like to stay. I have a wonderful team and we need to analyze the situation. We will talk on Wednesday or Thursday," said Scolari.
L.F. Scolari, also known as Big Phil, became a national hero in Portugal when he led his team to the final of the 2004 European Championship, where they lost to the Greeks, and when he reached the semi-finals of this year's World Cup with the national team.
In 2002, he coached the Brazilian national team and managed to win the World Cup, which took place in South Korea and Japan.
