Club coach Javier Irureta extended his contract. The 56-year-old coach confirmed that he agreed to sign a one-year deal.
"I hope that next season will be as successful for us and we will compete for the top spots again," said Irureta.
Under Irureta's leadership, "Deportivo" won the Spanish championship for the first time in the club's history in 2000.
