After announcing last week about the temporary expulsion of the Greek national team and all country's teams [link="http://www.eurofootball.com/index.php?page=news&id=6412"]from[/link] all international tournaments, FIFA announced on Thursday that it cancels the disqualification.
As we reported, Greece got into trouble with FIFA after points were found in the newly adopted country's professional football law that allowed state authorities to directly influence football governance, which is strictly prohibited by FIFA regulations.
After this incident, the Greek football management was forced to adjust the mentioned documents so that they would comply with FIFA requirements and only then received FIFA approval.
"After reviewing the newly submitted documents, the FIFA special committee decided that they comply with all FIFA and UEFA regulations," - announces the official FIFA statement.
As a result, the disqualification imposed on the Greek football federation last week ceases to apply as of today.
