In the Lithuanian "A League" championship, which currently holds the fifth place, has a new head coach. It is not a Portuguese, as the country's media announced a month ago, but a Brazilian football specialist Caio Zanardi. According to the official "A League" website, today the Brazilian led the first training for Vilnius teams' footballers.

The new head coach of the capital's club is 32 years old. Due to injuries, he had to say goodbye to his playing career early and has been working as a coach for ten years. Caio Zanardi has played for "Sao Paulo" and "Corinthians" clubs.

"Vilnius is a beautiful city. It is definitely hotter here than in Brazil right now. The first training left a good impression. However, it is too early to say anything more about the team - we need to get to know the footballers better," said the new head coach.

Three footballers from the "Vilnius" team have previously been coached by C.Zanardi in the youth team of the Brazilian "Juventus" club. These are forward Muller, midfielder Juca, and defender Rodnei.

"The current results are not satisfying, that's why we are looking for reinforcement," said Algimantas Breikštas, the president of "Vilnius" club.

The new physical trainer of the Vilnius team will also be Brazilian Leonardo da Silva Iparraguirre. The capital's club now has 11 Brazilians - nine footballers and two coaches.
