Croatian national team and Split defender Niko Kranjčar will play in Spain next season, at Vigo Club.
The 21-year-old son of Croatian national team coach Zlatko Kranjčar shone during the World Cup and attracted the attention of European clubs with his excellent performance. As reported, the player should arrive in Spain in the coming days, where he will undergo a medical examination and sign an official contract with Celta.
"Everything is already settled, and now we are waiting for the footballer to arrive in Spain and undergo a medical examination," said Celta's sports director Felix Carnero.
"He is a player with great potential. We are currently working towards having a great team next season."
Kranjčar is expected to sign a five-year contract with the Spanish team. Celta, which rose from the second-tier Spanish football division but finished in 6th place last season in La Liga, will compete in the UEFA Europa League next season.
