Wednesday ended with three matches in the 11th round of the Russian Premier League. All games ended in a draw - defending champions "CSKA" failed to take advantage of the opportunity to return to the top position, while underdogs "Torpedo" and "Dinamo" took points away from the "Moskva" and "Rubin" clubs.

Unexpectedly, after Sunday's matches, Nalchik's "Spartak" became the leader. For Moscow's "CSKA" to return to the top position, they needed to win against local "Zenit" in St. Petersburg, but the nervously unfolding match ended in a goalless draw. Throughout the match, a total of 8 yellow cards were shown - three for the hosts and five for the "army" team.

Kazan's "Rubin" climbed to third place, unable to win away against Moscow's "Dinamo". The visitors took the lead after Brazilian Baiano's goal in the 17th minute, but later Dmitriy Kombarov equalized, and at the end of the first half, Igor Semshov put the Muscovites ahead. However, with 20 minutes left in the match, "Rubin" scored a second goal and helped their team secure a point with the goal from Uruguayan Andres Scotti.

Another team to add a point to their tally and maintain a slim lead over "Dinamo" in third place from the bottom is Moscow's "Torpedo", who also took the lead away against "Moskva" after Evgeniy Lutsenko's goal in the 35th minute, but had to settle for a draw after Stanislav Ivanov scored in the 76th minute.
