On Thursday, the team currently holding the fourth place in the Lithuanian championship announced changes in the roster of the club: Russian player Konstantin Zemskov left the team, and in the near future, the team should be reinforced by the experienced Ukrainian player Genadiy Shchekotilin, who is participating in tryouts.

Throughout his career, the 32-year-old G. Shchekotilin played five seasons in the top Ukrainian league, and in the last two years, he played for the "MFK Mykolaiv" club, helping them rise to the second strongest league in Ukraine by scoring nine goals.

The 180 centimeters tall and 69 kilograms heavy Ukrainian can play in attacking midfielder and striker positions.

Due to the limit on foreign players, "Siauliai" was forced to part ways with Ukrainian player Konstantin Zemskov. The defender, who suffered an injury in the first match of the "A Lyga" in Panevezys against "Ekranas," started playing in late May and has since played seven matches in the Lithuanian championship.

In the "Siauliai" camp in Anyksciai, other players who have joined the team are Andrey Milevskiy and Vasiliy Monakov.

If a contract is signed with G. Shchekotilinu, there will be nine foreign players in the "Siauliai" team: Nigerian Amaro Atigbiolaye, Latvian Ingus Lukovics, Ukrainians Ilya Galiyuz, Sergey Galiyuz, Vadim Tarasov, Belarusians Viktar Afanasenko and Andrey Milevskiy, and Russian Vasiliy Monakov.

The "Siauliai" website also reports that before the "A Lyga" matches against Kedainiai "Nevėžis" on July 28, the Siauliai team will play two friendly matches with LFF I Lyga teams: on Saturday at 11 am in Anyksciai, "Siauliai" will play against Visaginas "Inter," and on Monday at 7 pm, they will host Pakruojis "Kruoja" at their own stadium.
