The matches of the quarter-finals of the Lithuanian Football Federation (LFF) Cup. Out of eight matches, only six were played today. The match between "Sūduva" and "Atletas" was postponed to May 19 due to the reconstruction of the Marijampolė stadium, while the match between "Šilutė" and "Kauno jėgeriai" was postponed to May 27.
Klaipėda 5:0 Vilnius "Vėtra-2"
In the first half, the residents of Klaipėda started a bit cautiously and did not take advantage of good opportunities, including captain Dainius Žernys. Later, after "Atlantas" pressed the opponents in their own half for a few minutes, Martynas Karalius headed the ball into the Vilnius team's goal in the 35th minute. Until the end of the first half, neither team created anything more dangerous. The second half started with pressure on the "Vėtra-2" goal, resulting in a goal by Kazimieras Gnedojus in the 49th minute. Just after that, during a quick counterattack, 17-year-old Andrius Bartkus scored a goal. The score became 3:0. In the 60th minute, after a long pass, Andrius Puotkalis placed the ball in the bottom corner of the goal. Just two minutes later, Andrius Petreikis headed in a high cross. Until the end of the match, "Atlantas" had a few more great opportunities, but they couldn't capitalize on them. As expected, Klaipėda's "Atlantas" secured an easy victory.
