The last hopes of Wales to qualify for this year's European Championship collapsed after the International Sports Arbitration Tribunal finally dismissed Wales' appeal.
Before that, UEFA made a similar decision. The verdict of the International Sports Arbitration Tribunal sounded like this: "The International Sports Arbitration Tribunal dismissed the appeal of the Welsh Football Federation regarding the qualifying match of the European Championship between the Russian and Welsh national teams held on the 19th of 2004."
The Welsh Football Federation wanted the Russian national team to be disqualified from participating in the European Championship because the doping test of the Russian player Yegor Titov, conducted after the qualifying match with the Welsh team, was positive.
