The Championship team from Lower England has acquired a central defender and signed a three-year contract with him.
The player who represented the Tunisian national team at this year's World Championship has moved to Birmingham club, reportedly for 2 million pounds sterling, including additional payments made by Birmingham.
The North African player has signed a three-year contract with the "Blues" despite the fact that his current contract with Bolton team still had two more years to run.
Now the question arises as to when the player will receive permission to continue working in England.
When the 30-year-old player receives permission, he will become the sixth player to arrive at St Andrews this summer and will compete against his former teammate at Bolton club, Bruno N'Gotty, who also joined Steve Bruce's team this summer.
R. Jaidi became the first Tunisian to play for a Premier League club when he moved from Esperance club in Tunisia to Bolton in July 2004.
However, last season the experienced defender lost his starting position in the team led by Sam Allardyce, so the player chose a club where he could get more playing time.
Wearing the Bolton kit, the defender scored 8 goals in 51 appearances.
