Danish national team defender Thomas Gravesen's agent claims that Real Madrid promises to sell the player, and the former Everton midfielder would like to return to the English Premier League.
The 30-year-old Dane, who played only seven matches last season wearing the royal club's jersey, would like to stay in Madrid, but according to his agent, the club has decided to get rid of the player.
"He would like to stay, but Real wants to sell him," player's agent John Sivebaek told the BBC. - "He likes England and he is only 30 years old, so he could definitely play at the highest level. So why not go back to England?"
However, J. Sivebaek dismissed rumors that the player would move to Newcastle squad.
"I think many clubs have contacted Real, but I don't know anything about Newcastle," said the agent after it was confirmed by Wednesday's Daily Express. - "He is not planning to leave Madrid, but it seems like he won't play there anymore. If he doesn't get to play, then he will have to choose another club."
The Daily Express newspaper wrote that Newcastle is interested in Real defender Jonathan Woodgate and goalkeeper Thomas Gravesen, as well as an unnamed forward.
Gravesen's future has been uncertain since this summer when the club was reinforced by Brazilian national team and Juventus midfielder Emerson. Also, the player got into an argument with Robinho during Tuesday's training session when the midfielder played roughly against his teammate. The remaining team intervened in the incident and calmed down the two enraged players.
Gravesen was also inquired about by the multiple Scottish champion Celtic. Previously playing for Everton, he was sold to the Spanish giant last January for 2.5 million pounds. Gravesen appeared more than 130 times at Goodison Park during his five seasons.
