The attacker from Italy moved from Valencia to Monaco and signed a two-year contract with the "Ligue 1" team from France on Monday, announced the Principality of Monaco club.
The thirty-year-old Italian has been playing for Monaco since January, as he was loaned out from Valencia until the end of the season. The attacker was linked with AS Roma, where he began his career, and was also interested in Palermo, Osasuna, Atletico Madrid, and PSG, but M.Di Vaio decided to stay at Monaco.
The former Juventus striker, who missed out on the Italian national team composition that became World Champions last month, scored five goals in fifteen "Ligue 1" matches last season. While playing for Valencia, M.Di Vaio scored 11 goals, but the arrival of Patrick Kluivert and David Villa further reduced his chances of playing in the main team lineup.
